I'm sure we can all remember a time when we were children when we felt alone, nervous, frightened, bullied or just different.......
For most it didn't feel good.
For over a year I've been working on a programme which I've named Little Sunflower. A workshop and a series of children's books, animation and soft toys to be launched in the new year which promotes how special each individual child is and how 'It's Ok To Be Different'.
I'm currently piloting the programme in some local primary schools north and south of the border and am totally delighted with the response so far from teachers and the children.
Here are some of the words the children have used to describe Stretch, Little Sunflower:
Awesome, delightful, mindful, confident, brave, happy, relaxing, great, strong, positive, fun and unique to nam but a few!
Along with the workshop and stories there is a poem which builds every week on the week before. The aim of Stretch, Little Sunflower is to help children believe that they are Different and Special and that is good!
If you'd like to know more or book the programme for your school please contact me as I'd love to hear from you.
Please keep a watch out for the five week workshops coming to a local venue soon!
